I get either 1 or 3 messages, according to the mail icon, but my mail accounts show zero. It is the first time this happened to me.

the same thing happened to me also with yahoo messanger. it is due to the improper signing out of the mail account n also due to some network. don't worry about it it will rectify itself with time

It's ok because it's only happening for only today I think. The problem will be fixed eventually.

Yahoo server is taking some time to update, there is a temporary glitch, u must have already seen them, but yahoo has not yet updated it.

Check and see if you have any unread messages filed away in any of your folders. These showed up in mine as unread.
