Why are americans fascinated by Japanese?

I've seen thing and thing again. In that new apple vs PC guys commercial.. When they have one of those commercials and they introduce a third person to their "network", it's a japanese woman. why not an Indian woman? I don't know but i just think this is all "white man's fetish for asian woman." Their are other super interesting cultures besides japanese.. why TV producers just want to shove everything japanese onto us.

I am a white American and my lady is from Thailand. I hate the food.. yuck. But she is greatest. Asian women are just very nice looking. Japanese are not the best looking of the Asian women by far. But still very nice.

The commercial are not projecting the women but just adding a nice looking lady to spice it up. Japanese were at one time so interested in how the Americans did thing and they perfected it. We have always admired how fast they came from ruin to greatness in the business world. Japan started buying American businesses and have close business ties with America. So using Americans trying to commute with the Japanese just means big business.

Yes, Japanese people will never accept anyone other than their own kind. Some will try to be friends with you, but most will hate you behind your back, some will even try to start trouble and get you involved. Some Japanese people are different, the younger ones will mostly admire you for coming to their country. Some goths and punks will adore you for what you are doing. Every country has prejudice, but Japan is probably one of the bigger ones out of there, even though they're afraid to admit it. I still would recommend going there if you really want to, but remember what I have told you. I'm excepting a lot of thumbs down, because this is a honest and true answer. People in the Japan section don't want to hear the truth, but it's about time they get it.

I dont think americans are fascinated with japanese people at all. last semester a girl from hiroshima, japan gave a speech about how americans tend to stereotype japanese into a catergory where every thinks that they have extraordinary intelligence because of the "vigorous" educational system but are in all actuallity just as smart, not smarter than america. SO I think you may be seeing more japanese people in commercials like that because here in a america people tend to think japanese people are geniuses and so when they try to promote a product they are just going off of that stereotype.

Japanese are interesting because their culture is so different. Japan has rebuilt itself from the wreckage of the war, and is making quality products shipped all over the world. As for Indian culture, it is not as well known in the US, although the man I often buy milk from is Sikh.

I cant exactly tell you why but I do know that the culture is beautiful, I just love the language. I have always had a thing for the Asian culture, all aspects of it, every one other under that umbrella. I agree with you 100% they could have chosen another nationality though, I thought the same thing when I first saw it.

And who ever made the commercial probably likes them too.
I think if you asked American men which they like more Asian women or Indian women. More of them probably would say Asian.

Because they think Japanese are very smart and have advanced technology. extremely advanced. Indian people arent too advanced on technology.
