those tuna packets with flavor, beef jerky, chips, nuts, NOTHING chocolate until September, NO deodorant, NO shaving cream (these items will melt or burst) Really, the only thing they want is snacks, American snacks, you see, alot is bought on the economy there, so sometimes stuff is not the ame. OH, Little Debbies, you can send ones with chocolate, they will melt a bit, but are still appreciated and edible, and taste just as yummy. Baby Wipes and good disposable razors, not the cheap stuff.

My brother keeps saying to send him more hot sauce - the tabasco type. Before he went overseas, he barely touched the stuff, but apparently that's how he manages to eat the MREs is by dousing them in hot sauce.
Other than that he really appreciates anything, letters, pictures. Depending where your soldier is stationed, stuff like hand warmers or chapstick might be a good thing to send.
The PXs tend to way overcharge for personal toiletry stuff, too, like shaving cream and deodorant, so you might check to see if he or she needs any of that.
Magazines are good to send, because it's something that can be read quickly or in pieces. Crossword or word search kind of game magazines can be nice too.

Hi, you are very thougthful to be doing this.. check out the "Treats for Troops" website, they should have a list of what types of things to send. A few good things would be.. phone cards, antibacterial liquid hand sanitizer, energy drinks, razors, nuts, trailmix, dvds, cds, pillows, blankets, body wash, wet wipes, magazines, tooth paste, mirrors-plastic or non breakable, chapstick, sunblock, for females-personal female items, flavored bottled water, canned meats, tuna snack paks, DONT SEND CHOCOLATE, Good luck and thanks for helping a soldier out. If you are a family member you can get free shipping items such as boxes- tape-labels and such from the USPS at 1-800-610-8734 and tell them you want free shipping supplies that they offer to a family member or a soldier overseas.. they ask the name of the soldier and what branch and what kin you are to them.

My ex husband was in Iraq in 2004. It is hot, sandy, dirty, and they love comforts from home. Jerky, dry drink mixes, tooth brushes, toothpaste, shampoo, lotions, soap, deodorant, pics of everything from USA. Stuff to make them more comfortable physically, and things to help them emotionally, like home stuff. Send him a flower from your garden. Things won't be the same when he gets back. Maybe never. I hope they will for you though.

Baby wipes are a major thing they can use tooth brushes and tooth paste. Any kind of moral booster. And for women tampons and person hygene items.

depends on where he is stationed. are you sending a care package to a friend or anonymous soldier? care packages usually include kool-aid (with sugar already in the mix), non perishable snacks, and other small items. check this link to see what is suggested.
