The actual answer is nobody knows! The clerk could have given her the wrong amount of change - many clerks nowadays can not perform simple math... :) But, she should have received 76 cents in change.

5.6 times 1.65 = $9.24

$10.00 minus 9.24 = 76 cents (hopefully 3 quarters and a penny!)
