If he isn't fired, do you think he will quit to honor his own opinion that he should be fired?

Sorry, I do have my details straight. Check out NASCAR'S website. It's there.

The Associated Press states that Tony made the statement that he should be fired if he didn't make the Chase. HE made the statement so why is it a dumb question to ask if Joe Gibbs or Tony himself will follow his own advice? The question has nothing to do with how good a driver he is or how many championships he has won.

No because he is too good. If he leaves, it will be on his own terms.

Okay first of all, Tony has won two championships and he never suggested he should be fired. Asking this question maybe one of the dumbest I have seen on here yet. Joe Gibbs is proud to have Tony on his team and would never fire him. The same for Home Depot as a sponsor. The president over Home Depot is a good friend of Tony's. You need to get your information straight before you ask a question.
Second of all, if Tony ever leaves NASCAR it will be because he retired. He is a good driver and has toned down quite a bit the last year and a half. One would be stupid to think the reigning champion would be fired.
DUMB QUESTION

The quote you are referring to is on Yahoo Sports and Tony has said in the past that if he doesnt make the chase he should be fired. However, I know and you know he was not being serious. Tony Stewart is one of the best driver's out there if not the best driver. He is caring and talented. You would have to be nuts to fire him and well, Joe Gibbs did not get where he is at by being insane.
ONCE AGAIN! DUMB QUESTION

Why would Tony quit or be fired?! Tony is way to good-one of the best--He has no [apparent] reasons to?!

Oh yeah-I thought this was kind of a dumb question!?

Even though Tony said that, he said it tongue in cheek. There is no reason at this point why he should be fired. Who would fire a two-time champion when he is still good enough to win more?

No.......I don't think Smoke will be fired.
And...No...........I don't think he'll quit to so called "honor" is own opinion...

I don't think it was intended to be a "serious" statement.

Kinda like......"If our team looses..I'll eat my hat!"

or......." If we're not the "best" we don't deserve to play"

or..."If I can't win the race every week..I shouldn't be driven"

No one..means stuff when it's said off the cuff like that.

I'm not saying it's a "dumb" question.................................

Some people may have taken him seriously..

I didn't...everyone has their own opinion..............

I know...you didn't ask about how good a driver he is...
but since I answered the question you asked.....
I gotta say.......I think he's an awesome driver...go #20
And....I gotta say.........the SAME. for....Jr...go #8
