If the world was divided between men and women and they were at war, which side would win? Why?

Men would win by using dirty tactics, telling the women they gained weight, or getting them to fight amongst themselves by telling them you slept with the other one, or my favorite make them leave by comparing them to your mother. If that doesn't work cancel all the soap operas.

The answer clearly lies in the past and current history of humankind. Men have waged war against each other since the caveman days, and have become highly skilled at this aggression. They are the ones who fashioned weapons and hunted prey millenniums ago.

Way back then women were often pregnant and had children to care for and primarily were concerned with domestic duties.

To get to the point of this theoretical question, it's highly likely that men would be the victors, however it's women who primarily raise men and most are wise enough to educate men in the proper way to respect and treasure women so hopefully your scenario never sees fruition.

Women. In a battle situation men are filled with their testerone and may act hastily--like rushing the enemy's hill when he's fully exposed to a rain of bullets. Men might call other men who do this heroes, but women just call it stupid. By nature women are patient. They can calmly plan out an attack and wait for the right moment to implement it. Women are more likely to see all sides of a problem and come up with more solutions.

It's a known fact that women are more ruthless. I've read where law enforcement/military recognize that in a terrorist situation, the woman is less likely to give up or abandon her mission. She'll fight to the death for her principles.

We would both lose, not just because we might ultimately all die out, but because we'd lose each other's friendship.

As far as actual fighting, men would assuredly win if they (we) really wanted to, because men are (on average) physically stronger, more experienced with weapons, and capable of greater violence and brutality. An actual war between the sexes would be as horrible as it would be short, leading to total "victory" for men and total subjugation of the surviving women.

It wouldn't be much of a victory, because as ugly as the world is now, the world in and after such a war would be far uglier. It's neither a world nor a war that I (for one) would want to be any part of.

I am going to say it would be close.
The men will fight so much amongst themselves and kill off half of their own army, giving the women more of a chance.
The women will talk about each other behind their backs and break down their army until nobody is speaking to anybody else. Giving the men a better chance.
