Ok this is in no particular order....the 70's ~Yes, The Allman Brothers Band, David Bowie, Blondie, Pink Floyd, Rush, The Rolling Stones, The Clash, Sex Pistols, and Elvis Costello.

The 80's~ The Police, Split Enz, Squeeze, First two U2 albums, Cyndi Lauper, The Pretenders, Sonic Youth, Devo, Pixies, and Prince.
