Its under the bike (almost!) between rear tyre and crankcase. remove left side panel to disconnect starter solenoid and battery ground lead. Just in front of rear tyre you should see a 10mm head bolt. undo both sides and a trapdoor opens. you need to put a piece of 4X2 or similar under rear tyre to get clearance to get completely open and remove battery.
FYI, the bike was designed in America for the American Market

Hmm....good question. I tell you this, start by looking under the seat. Most motorcycles have have that. If you cant find it there, try looking under the crawl or in that area. If that does not work, check your owners manual of manufacturer.

access under the seat.
but if you just want it to run, put it in 2nd gear, turn the key on, pull the clutch in, run like hell, and jump on the seat. let the clutch out, and ride home. starts like a champ.
