it's the steel symbol...you can look on some cans and see the symbol...and since pittsburgh is the steel city the steelers adopted the logo...by the way just wanted to add that the steelers are the shiit and we're comin' back for another ring next year!! 6 in the mix baby!!!

3 stars? I think they are 3 diamond shapes and they signify the 3 rivers that the city of Pittsburgh sits at. It was orgianlly part of the logo for US Steel. Did the Rooney family make their millions from the steel business? I do not know.

The steeler logo uses the old US Steel logo. They don't mean anything in particular, as far as I know.
