My parents got some program to record my IM on AIM, how can i override it?

It only knows certain programs, cuz it can record internet explorer but not mozilla.

And I don't want crap about how I should be happy that there taking care of me I want an answer.

Use another chat program that interoperates with AIM, such as GAIM.

They bought a program for that? I just have the AIM settings keep a log of the IMs and put a password on it.

My son knows I read his stuff from time-to-time and he hates it; but it doesn't stop him from being himself. I don't punish him, I just use it to discuss things that he and/or his friends might be doing or talking about, so he knows where I stand on the issue and why. I feel that it's opened a dialog between us.

Of course your parents might handle it differently, but as others have noted, it's because they want the best for you...

Now to the crap:
what are you doing on the internet? what would prompt your parents to show such a lack of trust?

The only logical conclusion is your doing something bad. so out of the goodness of your heart, please, respect your parent's wishes.

dont override it, deal with it for a while and follow the rules gain their trust and then they wont use it

You are under their roof. You go by their rules. If you weren't going to places you shouldn't go you wouldn't have to worry.
