ok well i have this liteon dvdrw shw-160p6s ihav xp pro i reatrated my pc and now this error comes up with the error code 39 windows says that the drive couldnt be started cuz its missing or that the drivers corrupted. same thing gwith my cd-rw can sm eone help me plz!!!

the drive is sat as master on the secondary ide port the cd-rw is set on cs or something automaticlyi treid slave on it but my pc froze

Anyway, *IF* you mean you added the DVD drive, there could be several causes,
1: Cables not connected properly (backwards or loose)
2: The DVD drive most likely needs to be set as a SLAVE DRIVE *IF* it's using the same cable as another drive.
