If we had cars that plugged into the walls because they ran on batteries, we wouldn’t have to buy gas anymore, but our electric bills would go up. We’d have to start at the big boys, the power companies. We have to come up with a clean, abundant, and reliable source of energy for these major power companies to use. We must stop using fossil fuels before it’s too late. We are sucking the earth dry of its intestines, causing the skin to move in pain. Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Hurricanes, and all other natural disasters will increase as we keep polluting our air and draining the earth of its resources. Lets not be the virus on this planet, but the flavor of the earth.

Plugging our cars in to a wall outlet is a step in the right direction, because electricity can be derived from many different sources - especially solar.

Solar is the key - wind is good in some areas - geo-thermal
river (water under gravity) Tidal waves

So many ways - so many flavors of the earth.

Doesn't mean a lot to me. We aren't the cause of natural disasters. Earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, etc. are all the cause of natural movements of tectonic plates, winds, and weather patterns.

The earth has been changing for as long as it has been in existence. Yes, we need to find alternative sources of fuel, but this paragraph mixes a lot of issues and does not focus on any one of the issues (fuels/reliable energy sources), causes of global warming or earth changes, and whatever is meant by being a virus on the earth or flavor of the earth? What in the world is meant by THAT?

Good point...or good quote. I think it is better to plug in as opposed to oil, but then again it takes other forms of dammaging power to produce electricity.
I think solar power is great. I watched a show on it and they can power houses and cars on it and it even lasts through rainy days. The houses are expensive, but the planet is priceless.

McCandless had tried to disguise the fact that he was a drifter living out of a backpack: He told his fellow employees that he lived across the river in Laughlin. Whereever they offered him a ride home after work, he made excuses and politely declined. In fact, during his first several weeks in Bullhead, McCandless camped out in the desert at the edge of town; then he started squatting in a vacant mobile home

It means you're the reason I'm now depressed. Just kidding. Well, kinda, it IS depressing. I hope we can come up with something soon, because I really believe that we are s**tting where we eat, as they say.
