I just recently took the Praxis 1 test to be able to go into the school of education at Ole Miss. The way I prepared for the test was going to web site
http://www.testprepreview.com/praxis_practice.htm
It also has SAT practice test.
I also searched the web for helpful web sites pertaining to Praxis ( which your case would be SAT)
Just be careful if your are going to order study guides because some are out to get your money and are not that helpful.
Just make sure they line up with SAT standards if you are going to purchase on the net.
I set up myPraxis test(3 content areas) on different days so that I would not be so stressed to take the whole test at one time. This helped me.
I hoped this advice and web site helped.

Read a LOT at or above grade level. It is the best way to prep for the language section. If you are taking them this coming school year, start now. Books with big words, no Sweet Valley High or Goosebumps, either.

I think if you are serious about getting into the best school, just bite the bullet and take a prep course for $1000+. It will give you plenty of practice.

I studied for a few days then I went out drinking with my friends. Not to excess, but enough to make sure I got a good night's sleep. Then again, it was 1988, you could do stuff like that.

Get one of those Pre-SAT big booklets, study that, and things from school, don't start to worry/stress and just be confident :D
