Has anyone ever written a fan letter? If so, to who, and what sort of things did you say? You don't have to be specific, just the overall idea of the letter (i.e., "asked about their work," "told how their work helped," "asked for advice about a career in _____," "asked for the meaning of life," etc.)

Hey. Well to be honest I've never written a fan letter but I sure have written a complimentary letter to my local Police Department. I wrote about how well they're doing. How they encourage youth to the path of righteousness. They are a dedicated team and are willing to be on the front lines. I wrote about how I appreciate their presence and how it makes me feel safe. How I respect them and would like to Honor them by being someone they are proud of. About how I'm proud of them etc.
By the way, write down what you're heart feels. First step is integrity, be true.
However, my best friend sent a fan letter 2 years ago to Daniel Radcliffe (spelling may be wrong but otherwise, Harry Potter). I apologize I don't have a brief idea of what she wrote in there as I wasn't interested. But if you are sending a fan mail... one thing is that keep it short and put it in an envelope that will catch attention. She got a response... sorry I won't go into details since she was in her little world of happiness for a week and didn't realize she's a human. So I promised myself I'll never like a celebrity that badly... I'm glad.
