I think the only reason Jack is attracted to Elizabeth is because basically she's the only girl in the movie and on the ship and he knows he can't really have her because she belongs to Will. I think he likes challenges and he thinks of her as one. Plus, the whole "curiosity" discussion between them on the ship was quite interesting in POTC 2.
yeah, I think he is becoming less greedy, I mean he didn't really go after treasure or anything in this movie and he let his ship sink to the bottom of the ocean. His ship that he loves so much.

I really don't think Jack Sparrow is "in love" with Elizabeth. I believe he sees her as a challenge - he also sees part of himself in her - and that is what he loves most.
Liz will wind up (happily with) Will. :)

i imagine that they had something occurring yet of course it did not and couldn't bypass everywhere. i'd not bypass so some distance as to say that she became his old flame and that he became in discomfort that he lost her. I do imagine he had some form of a aspect for her, yet because the guy above said...he's a participant.

I don't know. I doubt it, he only cares about himself. But yeah, I think he may be getting a little less greedy.

nah... he's so much in loooove with himself. but i think some part of Liz is in love with Jack. but the good girl in her, detest his selfish heart... thats why she chain him to the ship. but she wants to rescue him in the end...
