My fave is Message From Nam.. but I read plenty of her novels.. Palomino, Kaleidoscope, Daddy, Changes, Full Circle, Wanderlust, Zoya, To Love Again, Season of Passion, Now & Forever, Loving.. and so much more I can't recall right now.
But like I said, the best for me is Message From Nam.. it tackles the horror of war like the Vietnam War..how senseless war is and how nobody emerges a winner in war..all are losers with sad tale to tell, if ever anyone live to tell it.. very eye-opening on the impact of war, how it devastated the lives of all the innocents..the soldiers.. their families.. the country.. everybody.. very timely.. we all should be aware of what war does to the people.. let it be dedicated to countries presently experiencing war like Iraq..to its people who have proven very resilient..let it be an instrument to open all eyes and stop the senseless loss of lives.

I like Danielle Steel years ago she had a short book called THE PROMISE. what a tear jerker, The only thing I find is if you read them to close together they can get boring, she seems to use the same themes, I used to get headaches after reading her books, because I would find them so emotional, everything is going great, then something makes you cry and then it goes great again, she has you on such a roller coaster of emotions, I was glancing through some of her own background, she has been married five times, now is single, she raised nine children, her son Nicholas, took his life, and the book, HIS SHINING STAR is written about him.

i love danielle steel! try reading daddy. she does lose the man she originally love, but gets another in the end. jewels is also a wonderful book, and she ends up a widow with only her grown children to remain at the end. so she does have some books without neatly tied endings. check them out..im a huge fan as im sure you will be too!

well, i´ve read just a few (Jewels, Full Circle, A perfect stranger) and I always say that its the kind of book to read in a waiting line, or to stress out of serious things, I consider it too pink for my taste, too much fantasy.... I mean, I like a good romantic story, but a real one.

My favorite of hers is "Kaleidoscope." About three women who were separated when they were young and how they finally get to meet each other again after 20 years. Good read!
