~Why would you want a guy like that? Shallow guys who look for "arm candy" chicks are a dime a dozen. Raise your standards and look for a guy who has some real appeal -- like a personality and a brain and, maybe even, some integrity.

From a guys point of view, ALL the guys like the pretty and popular girls. I don't know of any guy that does not like the pretty and popular girls. Just so that you know my point of view, I have 4 sisters. 3 of them were the pretty and popular ones and were in the right crowd and had a ton of guys after them. But every guy had ONE thing on his mind, guess what it is? Hmmm This should be easy enough.... Yeah it was SEX! So if the guy you mean does NOT know the girls and wants them...it should come as no shock that he wants to get in the pants of every pretty and popular girl. Duh!
If you want a guy to like you and he does not know you, it is really pretty easy. Just start being the girl who is sexually attractive to the guy. That will start it. I think every girl knows how to show some skin. No if your body isn't that hot, don't worry so much about it if you can accent the better parts. If your face is not so pretty, you would be AMAZED at how easily it is to change from troll to pretty if you do your hair and makeup right. I am betting that the pretty girls are mostly NOT real blondes? So get a clue there....
If you are not willing to make yourself into a pretty and popular girl then forget that guy. He is looking for one thing like 97%t of the male population (the rest are gay). Get down to the basics and you are in. Just don't expect he will stay around or be the ONE that will last forever.
I'm a guy and I know how it works. I have the "Guy Handbook" and all the latest updates, downloaded from GuyCentral. Why not go for the nerd or the geeky guy? They like the pretty and popular but realize the reality. And with some work they geeky and nerd guys can turn into jocks or hunks too. All you need to do is stroke their ..er...um... egos.. a little and then make a small comment about an athletic guy. Then they start trying to become athletic, BINGO you have a HUNK in a few years. :)

Not sure this is politics but Oh well... I'm guessing he is your Friend... the main thing is can your friendship turn into something more. If he isn't already a Friend become his. Find out his interests because in my opinion the "popular" girls are all shallow high maintenance prissies and wouldn't even bother talking to the guy about what he likes. But the most important thing is to follow your heart it won't steer you wrong.

Be yourself. Maybe the popular girls just have a better personality...lol,who am i kidding? You can't really get a guy to like you without making an a** out of yourself.

If the guy is only going for the popular girls means he just wants to be noticed. If you would want him to notice you just try talking to him. But u never know he might like you just does not want to tell any one.

Be yourself and talk to him in passing. Don' be too eager or you could set yourself up to be used. You would be surprised how the good looking people are actually approachable and if you can strike up a conversation with him you might be able to make something happen.
If that don't work wear something skimpy and show some skin.

Guys are visual creatures. If you want to get his attention, don't try so hard. Make it easy by engaging him in conversation, any subject, and impress him with your feminine wiles... act interested in whatever he's interested in, be charming, engaging and fun to be around. Don't let him know that you're interested. Let him keep the impression that you are just a friend. Don't be too eager and don't be always available either. Let him look for you. Make him reach for you. He'll notice you more if you keep yourself looking good, not skanky, and if you don't use sex.

Well, you can't really "make" someone like you. My question to you is, aren't you worried about this guys shallowness? I mean, it sounds like looks and popularity are more of a priority for him than intelligence, heart, ect.?????
