In a pure Asian culture there are many things that seem odd to us. As a police officer, I have been called to the home of Asian couples, and the husband demands we take his wife to jail because she disrespected his parents. He could not believe we would not arrest her, ( he called our supervisor and filed a complaint on us for not taking her to wife jail)
In another case a man did something wrong and we caught him, the elder male in his nationality came to us and asked that he be turned over to them ( we could not, and the man we caught did nto want to) But I understand he faced seroius community rebuke for insulting them by making the police come to thier community.
so yes I could well believe that if someone was with another race it would be an insult to thier culture.
There are very strict black goups that teach ( from the pulpit) that any black person who dates or marries a white person is a trader to thier race.

I personal can't say no or yes, because I'm not asian, but I would definately say there is some truth behind it. One of my friends from South Korea was seeing a Polish girl and was keeping it a secret from his mom because she would have been furious, and this guy was in his late twenties. So I would deffinately say it is at least some what true.

I don't think so. I know many people who are involved in inter-racial relationships with Asians, and have never complained of this being an issue... at least not in this country...I don't know if it would be the same in Asia, though.

That depends on how racist the family is. It happens with all families, black, white, brown, whatever. It's all a matter of xenophobia and racism, although some call it racial integrity, racial pride, or some other non-sense. It also happens with religious groups.

No - each person and each family is different. My partners family are Hindu and they accepted me straight away without a problem. As long as we are happy together they are satisfied.

depends on where the live. Asia vs. America, but yeah "racism" is everywhere. It's really sad, I think it's getting better, but no fast enough.
