Yes, everyone does die... but the movie is about how girls do not like to be duped by a guy who believes he is better than anyone else.
In reality, John Tucker doesn't have to die at this moment... that fate is out of our hands... however, extending an apology might be something he could consider unless he likes to be labeled as a player.

John Tucker mst die because he is a typical american guy. He dates several girls just for the point of dating. In the end he mst die because he has been a self-absorbed as*hole and thats what girls hate. Simple
