My biggest pet peeves:

Hiding my matches, finishing off the munchies I bought, drinking all but the last ounce of milk and putting the container back in the fridge, drinking the last cold beer and not replacing it, and shaking down the walls when I'm trying to sleep.

Before you tell me to get better roommates, we're only three months into a 2 year lease, so that's not going to happen.

I just want to hear some more whining from other people with crappy roommates.

And if you don't have this problem, feel free to make something up. I'm bored and need the entertainment.

I was a Flight Attendant and shared a crash pad, that was a 1 bedroom apt with 5 people!! I would get pissed when I would get home from a 6 day trip and the place was a mess, or when all my shampoo was gone, some of my make up was missing, or when they help them self's to your clothes, or they used all the condoms and didn't replace them!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel you!!!

My EX ROOMMATE!
It was like Sleeping with the Enemy....She was a perfect and a neat freak. I did not have a problem with that. I am a very tidy person. She wanted to bite my head off if I left a spoon in the sink. No problem. I am not a slob by no means. She did not believe in having lights on in the house during the day. She would politely ask me to turn off the light to save on energy. Even when I was in my room. My name was on the lease. I had the master bedroom because I paid $400 dollars of the $600 rent because my 7 year old daughter had her own room and I viewed it as three room mates. Eveything was split three ways. Which meant I paid for two. She did not want my daughter using the guest bathroom. She said that was her bathroom and my daughter needed to come in my room and use my bathroom. I paid a friend to do the lawn every week. I did not ask her for any money on it but she got upset and said that I was doing things my way without her consent. I bought a mirror for the dining room and she got mad about that. We should have bought it together. She liked the mirror, she just wanted to be a part of the decision to buy it. I went to the grocery store every week because I like options. She would call me at work and ask if she could have one of my uncles. Each time I would tell her to help herself to whatever was in there. I did not mind. She would page me and ask me if she could cook some chicken I bought. Once again, I don't mind. Food is for the house. There is no name on it. After first this was thoughtful and respectful. Then one day she paged 911 and asked if she could eat an apple. I lost my m...fuc...n mind! Things kept building up until I finally asked her to leave. She was shocked and hurt that I did not talk to her about the problem instead of putting her out. I felt bad at first but then I decided that I did not want people like her in my life. I forgot to mention how she never liked the tv volume louder than 2. If you were chewing gum you would not hear the tv. I had to tiptoe through the house to not disturb her.

Your friend is clearly embarrassed at this point, not only about getting caught but about getting caught with a pic of you. Give it a day or so (not much more) and let her know that you are not weirded out about what happened and that if she wants to talk about things, you are willing to do so. She obviously is having some feelings or fantasies toward you as well so I think if you girls are close, you should talk about it. I don't know that I would confess your feelings to her right now because if she is unsure of her own sexuality and still questioning things, it could be more than she wants to deal with right now. You and she need to get over this hurdle first. She is probably scared that she has hurt you and embarrassed you as well so she is feeling tons of guilt. You need to put her mind at ease as soon as you can, don't act any different, just be casual and let her know that she can talk to you about what happened. Don't pretend it didn't occur, that will only confuse her more. You are both young adults here, so be mature and talk. You may find that she feels things for you too and it could end up being a wonderful thing for both of you. And if nothing else, talking and getting past this will clear the air and hopefully bring you closer as friends, if that is all she wants.

As for me, they are as follows:

1) Wearing their house slippers inside the bathroom so they leave dirt trails inside the bathroom and water marks outside of it.

2) Leaving so much hair inside the bathroom! Gawd. How come I am the only one who notice that?

3) Not putting a new tissue roll when they finished one.

4) Not filling up the water containers when we they use it.

5) Asking me to fix the net access everytime it is down, even if I am in the middle of watching a DVD or reading a book or sleeping.

6) Not washing the dishes that they used themselves.

7) When they have a lot of shampoos, conditioners and other toiletries in the bathroom and all are out of order.

Actually, the list is way, way longer.

When the kitchen trash can got full, my roommate used to pull out a paper grocery sack, sit it next to the trash, and start putting trash in there. The trash dumpster was about 20 steps from our apartment door.

when i had roommates the worst was when they brought friends or aquaintances, or people they just met to stay over and THEY ate all my food, made terrible messes in the kitchen, not to mention the bathroom. And later I learned that when I wasn't home the used my bed to ... well you know. It was disgusting I had to move or else I would have gone insane.
