If you know you want a divorce and you are 100% sure that is want you want get it done! There are ways around it if he won't sign the papers and with him being in jail I'm sure a Judge will understand the situation you are in. Another thing please don't let him back into your life for any reason! If you don't have any children don't let him come back and make any because then you are going to have 18 years and 9 months of fighting with this man and it sounds like he is worthless! Obviously he really didn't learn the first time being in jail and he is going to keep doing whatever he did to go the first time. Good luck to you whatever you do!

Divorce the son of a b*tch! If he really loved you and cared about you, he would change. Obviously he hasn't. I did my own divorce when I was 20. It really doesn't matter if he will sign the papers or not. You can still divorce him. The court will never make you stay married to someone you don't want to be married to. And because you have no kids together it will be that much easier to get the divorce.

you dont have to stay with him because he wont sighn divorce papers, you can leave the place you live in and move on,dont give him your numbers and start your life without him if he bothers you then you go to the police and get an intervention order on him,oh by the way because you have been married for 6 years you dont need his signature for the divroce papers only when it has been 12 months and under you need his signature, because it has been 6 years you can file the papers your self,

Next time he goes to jail, go directly to a lawyer cause you can divorce him without his concent. Should have done that before, my dear. Or you can go out of the state and divorce him. Either way, it will work.

first of all he has a history of going to jail and you still married him. Use better judemnent. if he won't sigh the papers leave him and get a lawyer. Given his history that is the last thing he would want to be around for or date a cop.

You can leave him now and worry about the divorce later. Do this now before you have children and things get complicated. When you're ready go see a lawyer, you deserve to have a good life.

i would say leave him now before it gets worse. thank God there are no kids involved in this marriage. It would be terribly difficult to have to explain to your kids that daddy's in jail and why he's in jail. Why keep putting up with the same old stuff. I say seek God for you answer to comfort you and to give you the strength to do what you already know you have to do.
