Okay. I'm entering into a musical contest next month. It's a solo act, 1 song, only 90 seconds to sing it (can cut out a verse or something to make the song short enough). Must be sung a'capella.
I can sing anything from tenor - soprano, and I like most every genre. Though, I do prefer to sing broadway music, or country.I'm just asking for opinions of what to sing. I've already gone through my list, and not liked any that I saw.
So, if you can think of anything that may fit the limits of the contest, I'd definitely appreciate any answers :)

see if you can sing the chorus of "black eyes, blue tears" by Shania Twain... Any of Sara Evans are good too, since you want country.. see if you can sing the first verse and chorus of "born to fly" by Sara Evans... Okay see if that helps.. i can sing all of both singers, and am having a blast.. okay cya l8er.. and GOOD LUCK!

How about the old 70s folksy song Brand New Key by Melanie. It's simple, but upbeat and fun and you can add your own flare to it. Also, a lot of ppl probably won't know it so they won't be comparing you to the artist.

Try "Broken" by Seether, Feat.Amy Lee

It's not your genre, but eveyone I know LOVE it.

Also try "Scars", Papa Roach. Another one not in your genre, but eveyoen loves. It is a guy sining, but I think you can do it.
