I am newly divorced, have two small kids which bothers most men I hear about. I want to start dating again, have no idea how to start it again. I am 41 going on 42 and no spring chicken. I don't want to bring any weirdos into my childrens life, most men my age want a 20 something sex toy around or one night stands, which rules me out as I am on parenting duty almost always. I just want to start as friends, see what happens...any ideas? I have tried match.com and hated it..mostly arrogant self centered men that didn't want the baggage of someone else's kids.

I've been in your shoes. I think you should just work, raise your children and have some fun. Your kids really need you now, and you'll probably meet someone who sees that you care for your kids.
There are some fun sites that I can't mention on here, but you can write people without ever meeting them too. I had some fun pen pals. Your focus needs to be on the kids, and someone nice will come along. You don't have to be with someone, have fun with your kids for awhile and just relax!

I worked in a medical office and heard this situation often. Most ladies found there next husband at places they were taking there children like church school YMCA etc. It worked out because both were starting over and had children. I saw the sweetest 91 year old newly weds that met at the pharmacy.

Maybe Mr. Right is right in front of you. Do you have a guy for a friend sometimes that's the best place to look because he'll know you also he knows you have kids. Stranger things have happened. Good luck.
