A channel - The Panama Channel. A glacier - Aletsch in Switzerland. Iceberg - big chunks of ice that break off of the Northern Ice Shelf or Antarctica. They also come from Greenland. I'm sure Alaska and Canada have some. Oasis - a British band j/k it an area in a desert that's full of vegetation, usually around a spring of water. ex. the Baharia Oasis in Egypt. Peninsula - a piece of land that sticks out of the mainland and has water on three sides of it. ex. Florida. A plain - an area of vast flat land like the mid-west. Plateau - a chunk of land that flat on top but it raised above the rest of the surrounding land. Monte Roraima in Venezuela is one of those deals :)
