could you tell me why or why not? love or respect. why dont men tell women what is on their minds? we are not mind readers and we need to get a better understanding of each other.

men want respect. they want validation. they want to know that they are worthy. they are looking for affirmation.

Neither. Some men wanna be boss or king.Some may want love. Most just want sex. But as for telling you what's on their mind, women are no better. Everyone holds back the truth expecting their partner to"read their mind" It's a common mistake. I think lack of communication between the sexes is one of the biggest reasons there are so many divorces. Everyone's too busy being selfish or trying to be something they're not in the relationship. No matter how many men I date or marry this always seems to be the case. If you can't be your true and authentic self with your partner, then you shouldn't be together.

Not all men know what they want. It seems like they want what ever they aren't getting at the time. If you give them sex then they say that you just see them as a sex toy and that you don't respect them. With some guys it is a no win situation. I'm not saying all guys are like that but many are.
If you ever do figure out how to understand men then write a book so the rest of us will know too.

Men want sex....respect or the feeding of their egos is very important too. They like to feel in charge, in control and important. They don't say what is on their mind because they do not know what is on their mind....they are not verbal creatures, emotional at times, but mainly driven by what is in their pants. I have talked with men that were completely in love with their wife, they had it all, but sex was bad and they left...so that tells me pretty strongly that the sex drive overrides love for them.

I think the older they get, the more they want love. When they get a little older I think they're more apt to talk about how they feel more. Respect comes with loving a man I think. If respect is'nt there, it needs to be developed, because it's important for them.

well,no woman really ever knows what men want and vice versa..but the fact is this,men want both respect and love and instead of you trying to figure out what is in your man,s mind, you should just give him the love and respect he needs....good luck!

I let my girl know what im thinking, for me, i want the love cause respect comes with love. Im pretty open with my baby, and she loves me so ya...depends on the guys...if they dont talk then well they might not be mature enough to even know what they are feeling.

everyone wants love. with love brings respect,tenderness,compassion, and caring. any guy that just wants respect is controlling.
