My brothers is 17 and i'm about to be 20 years old. I'm about to get out of the states care. My brothers is still in the states care but they want to keep him until he is 24. He has alot of problems and they don't think that he would be able to do things on his own. so i want to try to get custody of him so that he want have to go through all of that. I have a little girl and i do what i can to get everything that i can for her and my self. i'm about to start going to college to get my RN LIESINCE. i really would like to have my brother in my care.

Are you sure this is the best thing for you, your daughter and your brother? If he really has problems, be glad they are willing to do anything for him. Most states release their responsibility the day you turn 18. If you are still under the states care at 20 I would guess that you would have to be 21 to be guardian to someone else in the states care. You can always attend any court hearings in order to be heard about your brother's care.

I think 21 and have all the means of supporting your brother. decent home , and be able 2 provide him with all that he needs

get a lawyer and petition the state for custody, there shouldn't be a problem as long as you can show that you can properly care for him.
