Im not really ashamed of the music i listened to because it was mostly 80's stuff my dad listened to. The funny thing is that kids nowadays appreciate that music alot more (The Cure, Tears for Fears, Depeche Mode).

No way. When I was a kid I had the Sex Pistols, the Clash, the Undertones, the Stranglers, Joy Division, the Specials, XTC, Madness, Elvis Costello, Squeeze, and the all time greatest the Smiths, plus loads more interesting and unique singles seemed to come out every week. It was a great time to be a music fan!

I'm glad I'm not a youngster these days - nothing interests me, so I delve back to the 50s and 60s, and in the case of great blues artists the 1930s and 40s.

Well I'm still sort of considered to be a child, but I'm not ashamed in any way of the music I listened to when I was younger than I am now. It was country, and I still listen to it from time to time.

Nah never ashamed, it made me who I am today. I have a wide range of music appreciation. Many genres...When I was younger it was Billy Joel (glass houses...first album I bought) Bay City Rollers. etc. In college I had a party and slipped on my Bay City Rollers album and everyone was singing along wondering who it was. It was funny....they enjoyed it, but never would have if they knew who it was. I grew up with 80's music, but still enjoyed Janis Joplin, Cat Stevens, Harry Chapin....and so many more...Never ashamed...just well rounded.

YES.
I was really little and got caught up in the boy band pop thing.
BSB, NSYNC, Bruttney Separs...

I now listen to hard rock and metal.
Like, AC DC, The Who, Seether, Mudvayne, Disturbed...

I buried all my old CD's in a basement closet.
