Melina-the white stripe in her hair attracted a magical skunk which she rejected to go on a date with on the count of he is a skunk and the skunk sprayed a chemical and turned her into a statue.
Lita-the witch in the the lion,the witch and the wordrobe came into her room and stabbed her with her weapon and turned her into a statue becuz edge wished for it.
