I wonder what would happen if Lebanon was the one to start attacking Israil, the whole world would have reacted harshly to Lebanon but because Israil is attacking Lebanon the rest of the world is doing nothing, especially bush.

1. Somepeople here just forgot that those two Israeli soldiers were captured when they entered the Lebanese land.

2. You missed the fact that Israel was preparing for this war more than one year ago. So, with or without capturing any soldiers, Israel have already decided to attack Lebanon.

3. Hezbollah did nothing along its history except defending the Lebanese lands when Israel took it. Hezbollah would have been terrorists if they attacked people purposless. In fact, that's what Israel does all day and night.

4. It's too shamefull when somepeople say that this war is only against Hezbollah. We came to a point that killing more than three hundred civilians including children and infants, destroying bridges all over Lebanon, destroying civil airports, destroying sea ports, destroying peoples houses, striking radio and TV stations and even shooting a foreign channel correspondant on air, all of that is called " SELF DEFFENSE". How shame!!

5. Did Hezbollah or Hamas , which are classified in the list of terrorism, did they collectively kill one tenth of the number of children that Israel killed intentionally along its history. I'm not talking here about the Lebanese children only. I'm talking about all those Lebanese, Palestinian, Egyptian and Syrian children and civilians. What Israel is doing now is not new. Israeli strikes on Bahr El-Baqar preparatoy school in Egypt and killing all the children there, is just a symbol of the Israeli strategy that never changes.

Anyway, those who want to see the truth are the only ones capable of seeing it.

Peace be upon you.

I dont think that is the case. There has been tension building up between Israel and the surrounding areas for years, and it is finally being released.
In fact, I dont think anyone cares about that conflict as much as North Korea and Iraq. Israel vs Lebanon is being largely overshadowed.
Besides, no western power would ever be on Lebanon's side. If Israel was loosing, however, you will definately see some people stepping in, but never vice versa. Keep in mind that many people believe that muslim countries are harboring terrorists; thereofore to argue in a muslim country's favor you would be supporting terrorists.

Keep looking, you missed a step. Palestinians in Lebanon captured, then squirreled away, two Israeli soldiers. Lebanon's army did nothing. It has not restrained (probably couldn't) the Palestinians and the Palestinians indiscriminantly fire missiles into Israel--Lebanon's army is doing nothing to police its borders. What do you want Israel to do, just ignore it?

BTW, it isn't just Bush, if you will check the news, the whole G8 leadership, unanimously, criticized the militant Palestinians--even the French. Look again.

Peace is one component that each man or woman, no count number what nationality, race, or faith asks for. Lebanon Vs. Israel turned right into a poor conflict, both area dropping a lot, yet only because the media overemphasized the warfare would not recommend there aren't any others that favor to be dealt with. what is going on in Africa? or perhaps in the direction of us, Iraq? the international needs to get interior the image and attempt to creat the peace. certain, we absolotuly favor to verify peace.

I think Hezbollah should have known better than to attack Israel, because one day Israel was going to take out its big guns and its big army and flatten them. I wish Lebanon had been able to curb the sniping Hezbollah, but they couldn't or wouldn't. Now the power of Israel is unleashed against Hezbollah, and innocent people have to suffer. Sad world.

I agree - Lebanon did not attack first - in fact the Lebanese government are the ones who kidnapped the Israeli solders it was Hezbollah....

Anyway...are we living in old testament times...an eye for an eye? Even if that is that thought process, they should have only killed 2 Hezbollah solders , not 300 ++ civilians.

The war is with Hezbollah & if the Lebanese Government really wanted to get rid of these terrorists they should be helping Israel to rout them out of their country.

This is just a diversion to make us forget about Iraq. Might work if the insurgents don't get on the news they will stop doing their terrible deeds.
