"Apparently, sunless tanners haven't been a priority for researchers, who have yet to do a major study on the safety of these cosmetic products during pregnancy. So while there's no evidence that they're harmful while you're expecting - it's likely that they aren't, since (according to the sunless tanner industry) the active chemical that produces the tan is absorbed only by the first three layers of the skin - there's no evidence that they're completely safe, either.
Check with your practitioner if this lack of information leaves you unsure of how to proceed. Some okay the use of sunless tanners after the first trimester, others feel it's more prudent to stay pale for the whole nine months. Either way, don't worry about any sunless tanners you've used so far.
In making your decision, you may also want to consider a strictly logistical factor; once your belly starts getting in the way, there's not much chance you'd be able to apply the tanner evenly - a challenge, let's face it, even when you can reach your legs easily"

It is safe to use self tanning lotion while pregnant. There is nothing that can hurt the baby.
