You could have what is known as Dyspareunia. Dyspareunia can be caused by a number of factors, including vaginal dryness, atrophic vaginitis (thinning of the vaginal lining in some women, usually postmenopausal or those on certain drug therapies, including antihistamines and GnRH agonists), an allergic reaction such as to clothing, spermicides, douches or condoms, Endometriosis, Vulvodynia, Vulvar vestibulitis, Interstitial Cystitis, Lichen planus/Lichen sclerosis, urinary tract infections, vaginal yeast infections, sexually transmitted diseases and psychological or physical trauma. Dyspareunia is diagnosed based on specific symptoms and your medical history, and is treated through a number of different means depending on the cause, including use of lubrication during sexual activity, antifungals, antibiotics or other medications, recommending Sitz baths, use of topical estrogen cream or steroid cream, pain medications, surgery where appropriate (such as in the case of Endometriosis; see www.endocenter.org for a self-test to determine if this is your problem) and sometimes physical therapy with biofeedback. In order to determine the cause of your specific dyspareunia (and thereby enable you to choose a proper treatment), talk with your OBGYN.

I suggest you go for another check up. They wont see anything on pap smears because that's a different test. Tell your doctor exactly what you feel (kind of pain) and where you feel it. Ask her to do an IE and to guide her where you said you felt that "ball" inside.

It is best to do it soon because if it is a cyst or tumor then early detection will not worsen whatever it is you have there. Good luck.

Wonder if it could be a cyst? It is something that is on the wall of the vagina? If you doctor didn't see it doing the pap and it keeps hurting, get a second option from another doctor. There should be no pain during intercourse. Also you must remember that your vaginal is something to take care of, rough sex, or hit the inside of your organ will take it toll on you. Try other angles and position so you don't put to much pressure on one side. Also rough sex can lead to bladder infections, and years of not taking care of your vaginal can lead you to hysterectomy. To many women are having them in their 30's done to not taking care of them selves. Woman are build to receive but you don't have to do damage. Love yourself and your body.

The pap test will only check for cancer in your uterus. Tell your Dr and they can do one of those scope things to check it out.

Go in to see your doctor, it may be nothing, but better to have it checked and set your mind at ease. It may have something to do with your new bc.
