Zygote is Totipotent, it can form any kind of tissue or a whole organism. Blastocyst stage cells are totipotent, too. In the gastrula stage, the fate maps would have been decided, morphogenetic movements would have occured, therefore, the cells at this stage are pleuripotent.

Dakkon's right. Embryonic stem cells come from the blastocyst.

In the blastocyst... at least in mammals, at the stage where the embryo is a bunch of indeterminate cells inside a hollow ball of cells already dedicated to a protective function.
