Check ebay or google compaq evo laptop instruction manual.

Best way is to write to the manufacturer and give the model number and serial number and ask them to mail you a book for the computer. They usually do this for free. If they have a toll free number, go that route. Tell them that the person you bought the computer from did not give you a book and you need one. Good Luck. Nana
