"Ripping" a CD is copying the tracks onto your hard drive from a CD.
"Burning" a CD is copying the tracks onto a CD from your hard drive.

to 'rip' a cd means to copy the music files from the cd onto your computer in (usually) mp3 format.
go ahead and rip the cd then burn one using your ripped (rather muscular :P) files.

burn, copy... U put a CD in the CD drive, U copy it, a message box tells U to put a blank CD-R or CD-RW and press continue, U do so and it gives U a copy of the original CD :)

"Rip" the CD, menas you put it on the comptuer from the CD.

You can rip it, and then burn it. Just rember the file name.

ripping is pulling the music files off the cd and putting them onto your computer...and converting them either to mp3,wmv,or wav...depending on the software you are using.
