If in USA, your local United Way office, or Catholic Charities (you dont have to be catholic for them to help you out), ummmm...lets see...trying to think of things that are all over the US...your church (if you belong to one, or even the one on the corner in your neighborhood)....

In addition to what Munya said, call Social Services for your county. (They may not be able to help, but it depends on her circumstances.) Also, Salvation Army.
