I desperately need help with this site. I have too much info, and think I should incorporate some type of database. Does it look ok with this format? Be honest but not brutal.

Ditch the fern left border...too noisy.
Ditch the moving colored flowers for links...too busy.
Re-do the name in a more legible font.

I think you should go with more clean lines, not so frilly. Using a database backend is going to take some work to get going, it's a matter of if you want to put the time into it. You'll need to redo everything if you add a database.
