Is there any chances that your computer is infected with a virus or other malware? Did you download the songs from a P2P file sharing network? It is very common for hackers to load their viruses and other malware on to P2P file sharing sites. That song you think you're downloading might have a spyware program with it too. One of the telltale signs of being infected with spyware is that your Internet connection slows down considerable, down to a crawl. Spyware also can slow down your computer as well. If you don't have any protection (e.g. antivirus, anti-spyware or anti-Trojan) then you should install security software to scan your PC. I recommend downloading: AVG (antivirus), Spybot Search & Destroy (anti-spyware) and Lavasoft's Ad Aware (anti-spyware). You can download AVG at: http://www.filehippo.com/software/antivirus/. Spybot and Ad Aware can be download at: http://www.filehippo.com/software/antispyware/

For instructions on how to use them, go to CNET's site: http://www.download.com/Security-Spyware/2001-2023_4-0.html?tag=dir. Once you have download the programs, install them and update them before scanning. Quarantine any suspicious files. I hope this helps.

I have mcafee service. And every so often I do a virus scan and delete what problems it finds. I'm not very good with computers but it seems to help.

Computer Slow

Download and then run startup.exe at:

http://www.mlin.net/startupcpl.shtml......

Can't live without it and windows...

Then disable and/or uninstall whatever u don't need.

Other things to try:

1 - Disk Cleanup (removal of temp files, cookies, etc.)
2 - Defrag
3 - Registry Cleanup (CAN BE VERY RISKY!)
