Home girl been contemplating that one for a grip! I give it to Whitney because: Waiting to Exhale 'nuf said and Mariah ?Glitter!!? Also though someone mentioned Whitney's habits... well obviously here voice is much stronger and pure b/c her lifestyle has not changed her pipes. Mariah needs to be drowned with some Draino for the way she's sounding these days.

They were both awesome in the beginning! I no longer like Mariah... she changed her type of music, big time... and Whitney is a total waste of a one-time great talent!!

Whitney Houston had (and maybe despite difficulties, still has) by far the better voice. If only she had Burt Bacharach and Hal David to compose music for her, as Dionne Warwick had. I've always thought she was limited more by her choice of material than by that breathtaking, lyrical voice.
