Never did a formal interview in the summer time. What's the appropriate way to be dressed for women in an interview. I'm especially worried about shoes and pantyhose... It's pretty hot these days. Should I wear pantyhose or simply go bare legs? I wanted to wear closed-toe shoes.. Should I wear those small pantyhose-like covers for the feet only? thanks.

a light weight, cotton or linen, two-piece, suit or short-sleeve dress, closed shoe is always appropriate, and thigh-high hose if you don't want pantyhose. Don't wear white hose with black shoes and viz versa. Wear white hose with a light outfit and dark hose with a dark outfit. DO NOT GO BEAR LEG. Arrive a few minutes early and put the thigh highs on in the bathroom and remove them when you leave.

See if you can find out what other women wear at this company. If not, choose a conservative look, low heeled shoes, pantyhose, and a skirt that isn't too short. Interviewers know your trying to make a good impression, so it's unlikely you'll be considered "overdressed". However, if you avoid the jacket and pantyhose because of the heat, it might look like your comfort is more important to you than the job. Even if that's true, the interview isn't the time to highlight that.

If you want to make a good impression, wear the pantyhose for the interview. Small earrings, and don't forget a blouse or small top under your jacket. Less jewellery is best. Good Luck.

Always look professional. In the Summer when extremely hot, I would recommend closed toes, - pumps are always desirable, NO sleeveless. It is OK not to wear pantyhose if temperature goes above 80 degrees. Otherwise, I highly recommend it.

All the job interviews I had in my career were in summer!!! I wore a long skirt or dress or one times pants, bare legs hidden this way. A nice jacket or vest does the trick. The jobs I got with those interviews were : radio journalist, national TV journalist and years later, PR specialist in an international environmental company. Guess this attire works... Good luck!

Stop complaining about wearing pantyhose unless you live in Yuma, AZ. Pantyhose are not as hot as women make them out to be.

I would put on the hose if you are wearing a skirt.

Was at an interview today, just dealt with the heat in black pants and a three quarter sleeve business casual shirt. Worked out fine I think, but was so glad to change later. lol

Skip the jacket. A lightweight 3/4 sleeve button-down shirt with a tank or cami under it, and lightweight, light-colored slacks with closed-toed shoes. You'll look stuffy if you try too hard to look business-like...plus pit-stains are way more of a faux-pas than not wearing panty hose!

circumvent socks and sandals....yet heavily, if you're wearing a military blue healthful you pick closed toe shoes.considering its a jacket with lengthy sleeves the open ft purely received't artwork. you also pick nylons. Its very tacky no longer to placed on nylons once you're doing an interview. upload-ons (shoes belts handbags) ought to always be of equivalent value or darker.so that you pick military blue or black shoes.they should be a minimum of as darkish because the healthful. in case you pick to bypass casual, ditch the healthful and start up over.then you definately can placed on the open toe shoes without nylons.

Depends on the type of job and industry. What would be the typical dress code for that position? Consider that, and go one step dressier.

I say pantyhose are a must, and do not wear open-toed sandals.
