Try power-cycling the modem and the router by turning them both off for at least 30 seconds. Next turn on the modem and let it sync up and then turn on the router and let it sync up.

If this does not resolve the issue, your router may have bought the farm and it's time to buy a new one!

Good Luck!

if your cable modem is working without your router, then there must be something wrong with the router configuration. you connect the modem back to the router, and then go to the router ip address 192.168.0.1. for the user name : admin and for the password : password. click on ok and select PPPoE for the encapsulation. type in your user id and pw provided to you by your ISP. for the service name, you leave it blank. enter the other information like the dns server addresses, click Apply. give it a minute to connnect and click test; you should get the netgear website. =)

Whe this happens to my router I unplug the power cord and the ethrnet cable for about a minute and then plug everything back in. Works every time for me.

Try re-cloning the MAC address of the network card that your cable ISP provisioned again. I'm not sure how to do that on that model but it should be in the configuration. Most likely a webpage at http://192.168.0.1
