Everyone id different. Are you a small person? If you are your baby could be small. If the doc is saying everything is fine then it is. Some people gain a massive amount of weight and others a very minimal. Be thankful the less weight you gain the less you have to work off. Besides you gain the most weight in the last couple of months of the pregnancy.

It is probably fine, I didn't gain a pound with my first child until I was almost 7 months pregnant and no I was not at all overweight, I was 102 lbs. I gained a total of 24 lbs over my last 3 months and the Dr. was very happy with my whole pregnancy and had a very healthy 6 lb 12 oz baby boy. With this pregnancy I have gestational diabetes and am 34 weeks and have gained 16 lbs. That still only puts me at 128 lbs. Trust me, everyone is different and if your Dr thinks it is OK and you are eating as healthy as possible your baby is fine!

There is always a chance. If this is your first pregnancy then usually some woman do not gain alot of weight until after their six months, as I did. The doctor will never argue about how much weight you are gaining as long as the baby is healthy and you are getting plenty of fluids. If you are very small framed it could also have to do with the weight issue. Every woman's body is different and unique and we never have a pregnancy like someone else does.

why have you only gained 2 pounds? If you are eating healthy and enough, it seems you should have gained a bit more. The baby will take from your body to be healthy. Your baby might be a fine weight as they do their gaining in your last month or so.

A question we should be asking is: Were you a plus sized woman before you got pregnant. Some plus size woman actually don't gain weight right away. If not, then it just may be your body and how it works as we are all built differently. Consult your doctor with your concerns and if he/she is okay don't sweat it. And don't worry about every little nook and cranny, enjoy your pregnancy. The ups and the downs.

I would not worry to much about it if the doctors say everything
is OK. Just follow the doctors orders closely. When my daughter was born she weighed 8 lbs 15 oz. And my wife LOST 10 lbs.
She just did everything the doctor asked her to do.

My daughter is now 17 and very Healthy.

Yes! Has your Dr. done an ultra-sound to measure your baby and fluid? I think I would get a second opinion that does not sound normal at all. I have had four children at the beginning I would loose but I would gain a little too, but to not fluctuate at all I don't think that is normal.
