The Greek Poet Pindar wrote this and what the other person said, to enjoy life to the fullest because it is too short and to be happy with what you already have! I really need to apply what I know!

I do not know who wrote it but what it is saying is that you should hold dear the things that you were given. Everything that you ever need to be happy is there for the taking. I think that it is more like pulling someone away from suicide. These people think that they would be better off dead, but why search beyond life when life has so much to offer.

Pindar, a Greek lyric poet

Don't waste your time trying to appease the divine powers, but enjoy your life here on Earth with all of the things that they (divine beings) have placed here for you.

That's what I get out of it

That would be the Greek Philosopher Pindar.
My analysis is not to focus on things beyond our reality and focus instead on our immediate surrounding to fulfill your joy.
