those all are pretty good answers. there are three i's to heart attack:
1. ischemia = lack of blood flow to an area
2. injury = tissue lack sufficient blood flow suffers
3. infarct = heart attack, ultimately death of tissue. heart attacks can be small, medium, and large so to speak, but none are to be taken lightly.

ischemia is a sort of early warning system to let you know there is something brewing. symptoms may be pain, weakness, fatique, headache, heart palpitations, shortness of breath and may occur in small or large doses of one, two, or all the symptoms.

If you are talking about a "Silent Heart Attack or what is called Silent ischemia" means that you having or have had some type of injury to your heart muscle without having pain..many people have this and are not award of the injury...

I think you might mean silent ISCHEMIA, which is a form of heart attack. Ischemia is another way to say "loss of blood supply", which is what happens in a heart attack. "Silent" means there were no obvious symptoms. Most of the time, a heart attack produces obvious and often severe symptoms (like pain, nausea, sweating, etc.).

inadequate blood flow due to inefficient pumping action of the heart. Treatment includes drugs to widen the blood vessels, or in severe cases an angioplsty or bypass operation.
