yea, that is completely normal, and they will probabally be a little sore for at least a few weeks. But just remember to clean them once or twice a day or else they will get infected, and will hurt much more!

A new lobe piercing can be expected to be fairly sore for about a week. If you had them pierced with that nasty gun at the mall then they may never stop being sore and have problems healing. Gun studs cause blunt force trauma to your tissue and can produce excessive scar tissue. Also, the studs are not the right size for everyone and they are not always a high quality implant grade metal and can cause allergies. The "ear piercing solution" is also loaded with benzalkoniumchloride, which is an irritant to some people as well.

They might be sore for a few days. Watch for unusual drainage if the soreness doesn't disappear. Clean frequently with peroxide or alcohol and turn them frequently if they are posts. Check with doctor if infection develops.

Yep... They are going to be sore for a while... Just be lucky you didn't get your nose or belly button pierced, those each took about 2 years for me to heal completely. Yours will probably only take a couple weeks to stop hurting. Now whether they will be healed enough for you to take them out at that time is just contigent on your body's reaction to foreign objects.
