NOPE

You all wrong

Anyone can open a Bank Account as long as the applicant has at least 2 of the following requirements.

1.- A Federal ID ( your Drivers licence will do )

2.- Social Security #

3.- Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN)

if you do not have a SS# you can get your ITIN # , you just have to apply for it.

In order to get an ITIN # you just need 3 requirements

1.- Fill the W-7 form

2.- Have a Valid passport

3.- * Paperwork that proves that you are willing to pay your taxes.

* You need to see a accountant to get this done.

Then send it to this address

Internal Revenue Service
Philadelphia Service Center
ITIN Unit, P.O. Box 447
Bensalem, PA 19020

For more information about how to get an ITIN # check the link

Good luck.

federal law requires an ssn. call or go to ssa office and either apply for a new or replacement card, memorize the number and put card in a safe place. do not carry it with you unless you're getting photocopiy. but even that should not be carried at all times. it's to easy to steal you id with it handy.

SSN is not required. Only people who work gets to have an SSN, not others who are tourists, business visits, etc. Just a passport, ITIN and two pieces of address proof would be sufficient in most of the banks.
