Familiarize yourself with different music genre,
Practice your speech,
Learn the ethics of broadcasting, and
Apply in a reputable media company.

Connecticut Schools of Broadcasting. Or go to a school with a decent radio station/program.

After you go to school, sign up for being an intern at a radio station, if any stations near you do that. It's probably the easiest way...BUT what do i know.
