I mean C'mon---What's the big deal, SERIOUSLY!!!!

I go to see POTC movies just for the action sequences. Forget the romance--it's all cheesy anyway. Besides, Will fell in love with Elizabeth in like 5 minutes and then this love gets "challenged" some kind of way in POTC 2. Dude, Will or Liz can die for all I care----Jack Sparrow and Davey Jones are the people to see in these films.

Oh yeah, and why stress over JACK/LIZ vs. LIZ/WILL!! It's pointless and I personally dont care how the pendulum swings for this so-called "love triangle"

What do you think?

PLEASE NOTE: I am completely neutral and indifferent on "who-gets-with-who"---SO please dont try to convince me why Romance in POTC matters theoretically.

I'd rather see her with Captain Jack, but you're right the action and the plot is the best part.

There isn't a love triangle. Will may have fallen in love a little too early, but that was common back then; so were annulments and bad marriages.

Warning Spoilers here:

After Elizabeth handcuffed Captain Sparrow to the ship she proved that she didn't love him. She also proved that when she agreed to marry Will. The only person that thinks Elizabeth loves Captain Sparrow is Jack Sparrow himself.

Hollywood uses formulas to make its movies and one formula requires a romance in the story. That's why there had to be a female character in the movie Doom. There had to be a least a chance that she and the Rock would have a love interest.

In my opinion Captain Jack Sparrow is the only important character in Pirates of the Caribbean. All the other characters are just secondary characters. Elizabeth was important in the first movie because she might have loved Captain Jack, but by the second movie that idea was dead.

So why does she agree to go on a “mission to the ends of the world” to rescue the good Captain? She feels a little guilty, and she was already signed for the third movie. I am more interested in the captain of the expedition, who was Jack’s enemy from the first film. Why does he want to rescue Captain Jack? Does he want to kill him himself, or just make sure he is really dead? The only reason for him wanting to save Captain Jack would be if there was a profit in it; and their isn’t, besides someone who has lived as long as he has would be more interested in revenge.

The love triangle is just there to add a little more spice to the story, but ur right it's not ment to be the most important thing in the movies. In fact considering how the last one ended it is the least important. But I would like to see Liz get with Jack.

If you don't care, then why are you making such a big deal about it by complaining how much of it being a big deal?
