no i don't shes nothing like my mom, and she will never be my mom, and even though her son excepted me in to his family I'm nothing like them and will never be, thay are toxic.

No. I love my mother in law and we are very fortunate that we get along very well, but "mom" is reserved for my mom only, who I adore and am very close to. When I see my mother in law I just say, "Hi, how are you doing?"
My husband, on the other hand, calls my mom "mom" - he just adores her. He says it so cute too. She loves it. We are blessed that both our families get along great.

I dont call my mother-in-law mom and I dont like mine called mom

No. I don't call mine anything. I mean, I talk to her and all, but I just never refer to her by name. Been 16 years of that.

I think that is something that you really need to decide whether you are comfortable with first. If you are, then I recommend you discuss the matter with her to see if she is comfortable with you calling her that. If and only if both of you want to proceed forward with addressing by that name, would I do it.

no and nope. I see it like this, I got one mother who gave birth to me so I give the title to her. As for everybody else, I call them by their name even if they as me different. I don't disrespect my mom like that.

Hmmm well I didn't first...and I think I have once or twice ..but not like on a regular basis.. Heck I barley call my mom..mom.. lol....

I call mine a lot of things (under my breath) Mom is not one of them.
