I have a main story line I just need an idea for a couple of side plot for the characters to get involved in.Any idea at all......thanks.

Of course, put a hot lookin' babe in there for the captain to fall all over. He will then forget all common sense then you can have the ship taken over by what ever alien you have planned.
have the doctor hook up with another crew member, only the crew member is an impostor.......
you could go on and on with these side plots :)

Orig, STNG, DS9, Voyager, or Ent? Side plots are generally about romances, in-fighting, hobbies, pets, some past occurance that haunts someone etc. I'm not sure how to give a great answer for this without knowing which show. Anyway, good luck. :)
