Depends on what you mean by "false labor" and how long it lasted/how frequently the contractions were. There are "practice" contractions called "Braxton-Hicks" that help your muscles get ready for the baby's arrival, and these are NOT false labor. I had Braxton-Hicks contractions ALL the time with both my boys. My suggestion is to ask your OB-GYN at your next scheduled visit, or schedule an appointment sooner if it seems to be happening more frequently as the next few days go along. Good luck and God Bless!

False labor is just your body getting ready for the big day. 33 weeks is still a bit on the early side to be having the baby. I feel your pain though...I just had my son 2 and a half weeks ago and went in for false labor three times before my water broke! Hang in there its only about 7 more weeks! Congratulations by the way.

During my pregnancies I got what are called Braxton Hicks contractions VERY early.. like 25 weeks and had them off and on throughout the rest of my pregnancies.. My oldest daughter was born at 38 weeks and my second was 42 weeks. It's not a sign labor's coming but it's definately something to keep an eye on. If you ever think it's turning into real labor you want to go get checked.

I had false labor and I didn't have my daughter until like a month later. All women are different. Did u call your dr? If the pains come and go 5-10 minutes apart that is labor. I think it is a sign that the baby is preparing to be delivered. Hope that helped!

Its normal to have braxton hicks- it's your body's way of preparing for labour- at the beginning of your contraction time it- see how far apart they are & how long- if its irregular- its braxton hicks- however if your getting them often and quiet regular- talk to you OB/GYN...

Trust me this is also good practise for the real thing. The timing and you'll know when your in labor...
have you taking prenatal classes yet.. This would be a good time to enroll, It will prepare you..phone your doc's office they would have the number

It is definitely something I would call the Dr. about and I would suggest staying off of your feet for a while at least til' 37-38weeks basically bed rest. Previous births could be a factor, over working yourself and stress and dieting. Call you OB
